A disturbing video from Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve in Sawai Madhopur has gone viral, showing people dangerously close to a tigress and her newborn cubs. The incident reportedly took place near Devpura Dam in the Phalodi Range, where tigress T-2302 gave birth to three cubs inside a borewell pipe. The video has raised serious concerns about the forest department’s monitoring and wildlife safety measures.

This comes at a time when the tourism season is at its peak, and officials appear more focused on promoting tourism than ensuring wildlife protection. Sources reveal that there are no proper security arrangements in the area, leaving the tigress and her cubs vulnerable and unprotected.

Earlier on Tuesday, another video surfaced, allegedly from tigress Kankati’s zone, showing tourists being taken on a safari in an official vehicle—an act seen as a clear violation of wildlife tourism protocols.

Attempts to contact DCF Ramanand Bhakar for a statement went unanswered.

This negligence highlights the urgent need for stricter monitoring and stronger measures to protect endangered species and preserve the ecological balance of Ranthambhore.
